Opened in 1949, B & W Heating and Cooling is a family-owned and operated business that is engrained in the local communities it serves. Originally started in Wood River, IL, our determined, hard-working company culture has allowed us to expand and become a leading provider of HVAC repair and service for communities throughout the area. In addition to providing excellent service, owner Mark Eberhart and his family stay active in the community through church and school events. Furthermore, backing up the Eberharts is a team of qualified and trusted employees that keep B & W going strong after 75 years!

Mark Eberhart - Owner
For over 30 years, Mark has been a part of the excellent service provided by B & W. As a second-generation business owner; he takes pride in running a family company that’s focused on the needs of local customers. As a NATE-certified technician, Mark offers true expert service, and he attends continuing education to stay current on the top tools, techniques, and technologies in his trade.
Elaine Eberhart - Treasurer
Elaine Eberhart keeps track of the finances and has been an integral part of the B & W team for over 20 years. Her duties regularly expand to include caring for our valued customers and helping the rest of our awesome staff around the office. After business hours, Elaine enjoys sitting poolside, gardening and quality time spent with her family.
Gordon Guntren - Technician
Gordon also possesses a wealth of experience in the heating and cooling industry. With over 25 years in the field, he’s been helping fulfill our promise of excellent service for over 12 years. When he’s not solving your heating and cooling problems, he pursues interests such as guns, coins, hunting and enjoying the outdoors.
Shawn Nolte - Technician
Shawn is an expert HVAC technician that’s been working in the industry for over 15 years and is an invaluable member of the staff here at B & W. From a small problem to a big catastrophe, Shawn has the knowledge needed to get the job done. Outside of work, Shawn enjoying family time and the great outdoors.
Joel Eberhart - Technician
A student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Joel is pursuing his degree in mechanical engineering. While he’s only worked as a tech for five years, Joel has been around the business from a young age, giving him a great command of HVAC systems and repairs. When he’s not helping our customers, he enjoys being with his family and just about anything outdoors!
